Heroines Photo Book
Amazing photography met with creative design freedom resulted in a beautiful book we're both proud of.
Leah’s photos are absolutely stunning and her Heroines series was no exception. We wanted the photos to speak for themselves and have their own pages with zero crop from the original format so we showcased all of them on the right side of each spread. On the left side, Leah wrote about her series and the process and we embellished the design with small breaks of bright rose color to compliment the black/gray/white focus on everything else.
Print Design
The book measures 10″ x 10″ and focuses on the black & white photography with hints of rose color throughout.
Book / Publication
The book features a fabric wrap on a blind-debossed logo on the front, hand-stitched pages, and a beautiful rose-colored ribbon bookmark.
Packaging
I also designed a bright slipcase featuring a Victorian texture inside that compliments the opening and closing spreads of the book.
Multi-page Layouts
This book features spreads showcasing the image on the right side along with part of the photographer’s story and pull-quotes on the left.
