All-inclusive Wedding Design Package
From mailed materials to signage, table numbers to bar lists and everything in between.
For our wedding, my wife and I wanted to create a one-of-a-kind custom feel for all of the materials. Once we had a theme and color scheme chosen, I went to work creating a “brand” all our own to give our special day one seamless and cohesive look.
Print Design
Printed materials included save the dates, invitations, guest placecards, program sheets, seating chart, and favors for the guests.
Signage Design
Welcome signage was created for outside and inside the venue as well as signage for table numbers, bar lists, guest book table along with various announcements and designations.
Branding
Our entire package included several reused “logos” of sorts that were used throughout the printed materials, in wax seals, and even on top of the cake!
Assembly
With the only exceptions being some silkscreening, laser cutting, and mass-produced wedding favors, I handled printing and assembly of everything seen right at home!
Invitations
The invitations were hand silkscreened on beautiful paper from Neenah. Details include a deckled edge around the first layer, a QR code to the event website printed on the back, gold wax seal with filigree, and they were mailed in envelopes lined with a “frosted gold” liner – all hand-assembled.
Save the Dates
For save the date cards, I wanted to do something simple but tactile. The base of the card has a slight texture printed on a nice toothy stock and then the information was printed on a vellum band and wrapped around the base – then sealed on the back with a green wax seal. Envelopes were a matching dark green and sealed with a gold wax stamp and real dried filigree speckled with sprayed snow.
PLACE CARDS & PROGRAM SHEET
Place cards for guests were marked with a wax stamp that designated which meal they picked to be served. This added a fun touch of color to the tables while making it easy for the venue staff to know where things were going. A program sheet was tucked into the guests’ napkins with a thank you note and timeline of the evening.
WEDDING FAVORS
We wanted to give something useful, meaningful and environmentally-friendly so we opted for seeded pencils. Once the guest uses the pencil down to the end, they can plant the pencil and it will grow wildflowers. For these, I designed a card insert with event information and directions for planting.
