Arms Dealer Playing Cards
The product of a love for firearms & a passion for great playing card design.
Every detail of these cards is completely custom from the pips, backs, & tuck all the way to the meticulously illustrated firearms and premium inks. Details & surprises are all around the designs and true enthusiasts will find connections and imagery sprinkled throughout the entire deck. I raised over $18,000 on my rookie deck’s Kickstarter campaign and completed fulfillment in November 2022.
Print Design
1650 decks printed by the United States Playing Card Company on Bicycle-grade stock featuring two beautiful metallic inks.
Packaging Design
Five different variations of tuck boxes were designed along with half- and full-brick bulk boxes and produced by Gambler’s Warehouse.
Kickstarter Marketing
The entire campaign page had to be created and laid out as well as promoted before & during the campaign.
Complete Project Management
Every aspect of this project from ideation, to creation, to promotion, to production and fulfillment was all overseen directly by me.
CARDS
Card backs are designed entirely out of firearm-related imagery. Court cards & jokers are illustrated with 14 unique classic firearms. Pips & numbers were styled to be reminiscent of military roll marks & serial numbers while untraditional layouts were used for the ranks to add a little flair and increase 2-way playability.
GILDED EDITION
I released a gilded edition of the Arms Dealer deck limited to 125 available. These were adorned with beautiful gold gilded edges on the cards and tuck featured soft-touch paper, gold & ghosted white-pearl foils and diecut windows on the edge to reveal the cards within. These decks also received a unique special-edition signed and numbered seal.
USPCC Tuck
As part of the printing process, United States Playing Card Company offers basic tuck boxes with decks when they are printed. Because I was getting more luxury tucks produced elsewhere, about 1600 of these boxes got recycled – but I kept about 40 of them and sent them out to random backers as a cool memento of the Arms Dealer project process.
RESERVE EDITION
As a thank you to friends, family, and the folks who played an integral role to this project, I had 15 Reserve edition made featuring soft-touch paper stock, gold rainbow holographic & mirrored gunmetal foils with diecut windows on the tuck and beautiful gold holographic gilding on the cards.
